Sunday, October 22, 2023 – 1 pm
Landmark Center, St. Paul, MN

Mozart: Symphony No. 41 in C major, K. 551 “Jupiter”
Mahler: Symphony No. 1 in D major “Titan”

Join us for our opening concert of the season when we present iconic symphonies by two Austrian masters!

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is represented by his forty-first and final symphony, known as “Jupiter” because of its Olympian grandeur and musical mastery.

Gustav Mahler, who sought to express the entire world in his symphonies, staked his claim to the genre he inherited from Mozart and Beethoven beginning with his first symphony, named “Titan”.
